When we were checking in, the hotel staff asked for a credit card to pay for our stay. When I informed them that I had booked through Priceline.com and that the room was already prepaid, they disagreed and insisted that we hadn't and that the credit card was for guaranteeing the room only. Several staff members tried to assist, but their answer was the same: we had to pay for the room. At the end, we waited while they call reservation, and only then were they able to confirm that the room had in fact been prepaid. Their lack of knowledge of Priceline did not bother us. It was their attitude - it was downright condescending. We felt as though they were silently accusing us of trying to get the room stay for free. It was definitely not five-star service, and a disappointment as no matter how nice the room, it didn't make up for our initial impression of the hotel staff. ...read more
